Six Berks LaunchBox startups awarded 'Grow Your Startup Grants'

The Berks LaunchBox powered by Penn State recently awarded six startup companies with, “Grow Your Startup Grants,” which provide entrepreneurs participating in Berks LaunchBox programs with $500 towards a need they have identified. Startup needs include talent to help with prototyping, 营销与设计, or registration for an educational conference or training session. These grants are funded by a grant from the Commonwealth of 宾西法尼亚, Department of Community and Economic Development to Invent Penn State.

宾州州立银行 graduate earns statewide award for criminal justice research

宾州州立银行 2024 alumna Angela Bonopane earned the Best 本科研究 Paper Award from the 宾西法尼亚 Academy of Criminal Justice Educators (PACJE), a statewide organization of faculty, practitioners and students in criminal justice. She also received the PACJE Bernie Meyer Student Scholarship and presented her research at the conference.

莎拉Hartman-Caverly, reference and instruction librarian at Berks 图恩湖库, 宾州州立银行, was recognized June 6 for her work co-leading a peer community that explores heterodoxy in the context and practice of academic librarianship. Hartman-Caverly’s community, 非正统的库, received the inaugural HxA Community Excellence Award from the Heterodox Academy.
